New Look & New Data for Newsreel Database
The British Universities' Newsreel Database has been redesigned and new data added. The portal is authored and operated by the British Universities' Film and Video Council which also oversees the Cinemagazines and the Projection of Britain cataloging project from where the new data comes. The site has been divided into three sections: Search, Learn More, and About. New features include a video showcase on the 1920s cinemagazine Around the Town. The database now includes the records of many newly catalogued cinemagazine series, including Mining Review, Eves Film Review and London Line. New biographical information has been added on hundreds of people and companies associated with cinemagazines, and there is extensive information on cinemagazine series.
