Corbis Acquires Australian Library
A deal by Corbis to acquire the New South Wales based Australian Picture Library gives the image giant a wholly-owned outlet for its imagery and motion content in Australasia. No terms were announced for the acquisition, which will be completed next year. The Australian Picture Library was founded in 1979 and became one of Corbis' two Australian representatives three years ago. It is agent for nearly 200 Australian photographers and more than 1.5 million images in its files. Web: www.corbis.com and www.apl.com.au
