AP Archive has New 9/11 Highjacker Footage
AP Archive has exclusive distribution rights to new video obtained by London newspaper The Sunday Times showing two of the 9/11 hijackers laughing and joking together, before then reading out their last wills. The 51 minute mute video is believed to have been shot in January 2000 at an Al Qaeda training base near Kandahar airport, in Afghanistan. It shows Mohamed Atta, the ringleader of the 19-strong group of hijackers, laughing and joking with Ziad Jarrah. Jarrah was the pilot of United Airlines flight 93 which crashed in Pennsylvania. Both are then seen to be reading their last wills and this is believed to be the only known video of Atta and Jarrah together. There is also new footage of Osama Bin Laden addressing a group of followers. Amongst the crowd are Ramzi Binalshibh who was allegedly one of the main organisers of the 9/11 attacks.
