Content Rich PS2 Quiz Grabs BAFTA award
An interactive game for the PlayStation II platform, the first to contain multiple footage and photo content, has won a prestigious BAFTA award for the best in category. BUZZ! the Big Quiz, a general knowledge quiz for multiple players, walked off with the award in the "Casual and Social" category, for gaming products for arcade play and mobiles. The quiz was produced by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Relentless Software. Produced in 15 different editions, it included more than 2,000 visual asset. Asset sources included BBC Motion Gallery, Corbis, APTN Archive, ITN Source, InFront Media, TWI Archive, Getty Images, and Universal Studios. Content sourcing and acquisition was headed by footage industry consultant John Flewin and permissions and clearances by Corbis Rights Services.
