BBC Motion Gallery says it has has provided a range of clips for use in Lionsgates The US vs John Lennon, directed by David Leaf and John Scheinfeld for Authorized Pictures. The movie provides an inside look at the life of musical legend and anti-war activist John Lennon, and the US Governments attempts at silencing him. The US vs. John Lennon takes place during the Vietnam War era,1966-1976. The BBC says film researcher Eric Kulberg located rare archival material that best supported the filmmakers story. These include several clips from BBC Motion Gallery including an interview Yoko Ono and John Lennon from the 1970s, unplugged-style music specials of Lennon on the BBC, a clip of John Lennon becoming a US citizen, CBS news clips that supported the US efforts to deport Lennon, and additional Lennon interviews from that era.
