StormStock Puts Timberland Ad in the Mood
Prairie Pictures provided what it calls "stormy mood .... pristine, high-definition format footage" from its StormStock collection for use in a new Timberland TV commercial titled "Rain." The spot begins with a wide shot of dark storm clouds rolling in above a grassy hill. A man wearing a Timberland jacket walks into the frame as a downpour of rain approaches and eventually he walks into the downpour. The storm footage was shot by Prairie Pictures president and cinematographer Martin Lisius on Kodak Vision 35mm stock using his Arriflex 35-3. The 35mm negative was transferred to HDCAM by Video Post and Transfer (Dallas) colorist Steve Franko on a Spirit DataCine. The footage was composited into the commercial by Brickyard VFX Boston.
