Sound Ideas Launches Stockmusic.com
Sound Ideas, one of the world's leading publishers of professional sound effects, has launched Stockmusic.com. It has entered the audio download market with the creation of StockMusic.com, a dedicated download division featuring more than 5,400 tracks of royalty free music. Music can be purchased individually or as complete downloadable CDs. The site currently has over 4,000 production elements and more than 70,000 sound effects available.
Brian Nimens, president of Sound Ideas and StockMusic.com, notes that clients are making more use than ever of the instant access that the Internet provides for studio production work. With that in mind, I decided to take the plunge and make the vast collection of Sound Ideas music, production elements and sound effects available for download."
StockMusic.com will keep pace with Sound Ideas new releases, but will also carry music that is not available from Sound Ideas. By mid 2009, Nimens estimates that there will be more than 90,000 audio clips available for download through StockMusic.com.
