Getty Images has formed partnerships with a number of key players in the music industry, including Gracenote® and Hello Music. These relationships with key players in the digital music industry will allow the companies to integrate a wide variety of premium images into their products and services, thereby enhancing the experience of music listeners around the world.
Under the terms of the agreements, Getty Images will leverage its vast array of image archives and event coverage to help the companies in the digital music industry provide more dynamic and engaging entertainment experiences through relevant visual content.
Getty Images is delighted to partner with all these notable industry leaders, to offer consumers an enhanced musical experience, said Jonathan Klein, co-founder and chief executive officer, Getty Images. These alliances reflect how Getty Images continues to strengthen and grow its offering in the digital space and highlights how we are helping the music industry in its move towards building more compelling online content.
The deals were revealed during Jonathan Kleins keynote speech at the MIDEM 2010 conference in Cannes. During the keynote, Mr. Klein was asked to outline how the music industry can learn from Getty Images licensing model and increase revenue by reinventing it.
