Clips & Footage is a friendly and independent supplier of high quality archive film and contemporary footage. We have over a century of international social and political history, war and conflict, transport and aviation, cartoons, vintage TV ads, Americana and the biggest collection of classic Hollywood feature film trailers, production shorts and screen tests outside of the USA. We hold the largest collection of musical shorts from the 1930s to the 60s in the UK featuring stars as diverse as Cab Calloway, Spike Jones, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and The Hollies.

Unique items in our collection include rare colour home movies of the Royal Family, colour films of the Spanish Civil War and four separate collections showing lifestyles of the aristocracy from the 1920s to the 1950s including the famous Mountbatten Collection.

Some of our larger represented collections number Lobster Films which is a goldmine of moving images, in colour and BW, from the birth of cinema to the 60s, covering all genres. The general library is made up of newsreels from 1896 to the late 1960s, industry and fashion, war films, cartoons, slapstick, music and dance, westerns, adventure films and musicals. One of the rarest items is the only surviving footage of the legendary jazz guitarist Django Rheinhardt playing guitar.

The Travel Film Archive is a collection of archival travelogues, educational and industrial films from around the globe. The films, many of them in vibrant colour, show the world the way it was between 1900 and 1970.
