  With offices in central London and the West Country, were one of Europes Largest Independent archive film collections. Our knowledgeable team of researchers and historians will pursue that shot and fulfil that script - all research is free of charge.

We value our customer service to you very highly and we can work creatively with you on commercials and pop promos and intelligently on serious documentaries.

 
 
  Our collections are immense and on all areas and subjects world-wide, from 1895 to the present. Our strengths are documentaries, especially social history and lifestyles, work and industry, transport, people and places, health and medicine, media history, music, personalities, political history and war, fashion, the arts and sciences. We are very strong in early melodrama and slapstick comedy, animation, early adverts and wonderful collections of amateur movies, from the 20s to the 70s. We are famous for finding the impossible, the exotic and the rare.

 
 
  Around 80,000 titles, our films are about 10 to 20 minutes each.

Most original material is held on 16mm/35mm film but copies are available on VHS/DVD for viewing. All formats, including HD and digibeta, are available as masters. Some material is available online to view.

Our famous searchable text database is also online for detailed and comprehesive text descriptions of each film.
