The UCLA Film and Television Archive offers you one of the worlds largest libraries of historical footage documenting the people, places, events, and lifestyles of the 20th Century-nationally and worldwide.

The Hearst Metrotone News Collection (1915-1977) more than 27 million feet of distributed newsreels, unreleased stories, and outtakes covering nearly every major national and international news story of the time. Much of the collection is camera original negative, yielding images truly as sharp as the day they were shot.
Paper Prints (1896-1908) Over 400 comedies, dramas, and documentary subjects. Includes films by D.W. Griffith and Thomas Edison.
KTLA News (1955-1981) color/sound film covering more than 13,000 news stories.
TV News (1973-75) more than 5,000 national news stories.
Hollywood on Parade: Short subjects from the early 1930s featuring behind-the-scenes looks at Hollywood personalities.
The Denove Collection: Footage chronicling public appearances, commercials, and programs produced for John F. Kennedys 1960 Presidential campaign.
