Charles Maxwell founded Underwater Video Services in 1990. Charles is an underwater cinematographer who has been diving for 35 years and therefore has an excellent knowledge of the South African marine environment as well as contacts in the documentary and scientific communities. Due to the convergence of two ocean currents, South Africa supports an amazing biodiversity of marine life.

Besides running an extensive video library, specialising in (but not confined to) shark and marine mammal footage, we offer a support service to wildlife documentary filmmakers. This service includes underwater filming and the supply of cameras, polecams, towcams, professional divers, diving boats and production facilitation.
