| Stock Options has used its considerable expertise as producers of cinema and TV commercials to shape this collection into a modest-sized but very relevant body of high quality footage, comprising mostly 35mm original material. Footage is mostly captured by acclaimed commercials and documentary cinematographers, and tightly selected with commercial values in mind.
Much of the footage has been shot in and around the Southern African subcontinent, and naturally includes scenics, ethnics and wildlife of the region, combined with great production values such as aerials. Many other generic themes are also covered, including contemporary and recreated vintage aviation (air-to-air), industry, modern and traditional lifestyles, local destinations and landmarks.
The Stock Options collection also spans other continents such as Asia, Europe and North America, but most of the collection was created with worldwide acceptability and relevance in mind. (and is in fact distributed worldwide by a select group of partners).
Most of the Stock Options footage is available on film, making it ideal for theatrical-release projects, including several Hollywood features that have used the companys footage in the past.
Production is ramping up significantly, in parallel to existing material finding its way onto the Stock Options website. With South Africa hosting the 2010 Soccer World cup, we expect to see lots of fresh football footage to join the already formidable body of 35mm footage (including aerials and time lapse) on www.stockoptions.co.za
