Unusual Footage of Japanese Volcano Erupting
On March 27th 2018 William Russell was standing near Sakurajima, an active volcano on the southern tip of Japan when it erupted spectacularly! The camera he grabbed to film it couldn’t zoom out to capture the whole thing, and the drone he was using had shaky images so he spent 12 hours learning how to use After Effects to track and stabilise the mess he filmed.
Then he put the footage on a picture he’d taken with his phone a minute before it erupted.
