Deep In The Country!
Reelin’ In The Years Productions holds footage from some of the best country music artists of all time, because they represent Nashville-based Jim Owens Entertainment, with over 8000 hours of country music programming. See some great artists in action onstage.
David Peck, Reelin’ In The Years Productions President says, “My company started out because of my passion for music and over the last few decades because of the same relentless (some would say obsessive) passion, we’ve amassed the world’s largest library of music footage with over 20,000 hours of footage available for licensing which spans Bessie Smith in the 1920s to Ed Sheeran today. While our footage archive covers virtually every genre of music from the last 10 decades, one of the areas we were lacking a large amount of footage was Country music.
“That all changed last year when we signed a representational deal with Nashville-based Jim Owens Entertainment. Over the course of five decades, Jim Owens Entertainment produced over 8,000 hours of country music programming. Virtually every single country music star has appeared on their programs and specials. From yearly awards shows such as "Music City News Awards " to legendary series such as "Crook & Chase" and "Music City Tonight", their archive offers not only legendary performances but in-depth interviews and behind the scenes footage that really bring you into the world of country.”
Jim Owens Entertainment was the primary producer of Prime Time and music entertainment programming for TNN: The Nashville Network and created their most highly successful Prime Time series, The Statler Brothers Show, as well as a majority of the major awards shows done by TNN. Since 2011 they have been digitising the archive and now there is a huge archive of valuable country music content available. If you are working on a project that involves country music let us know and Reelin’ In The Years Productions will search the vast holdings of the Jim Owens Entertainment archive to find just the right interview or performance to make your project even better.
