Casey Knowles backs Barack The Clinton 3 am Phone Call video controversy continues. Hillary Clinton's campaign used Getty Images stock footage in this TV advertisment, implying that Hillary was the right person to respond to an emergency call to the White House. However, the young girl in the eight years old stock footage, Casey Knowles, is now 17 and a Obama supporter. The Obama team have hit back, using some of the same stock footage, and Casey herself, to produce an opposing ad.
Although this shows the difficulties companies can face using stock footage, Getty Images must be pleased by the controversy - the footage has gained them much publicity and multiple worldwide sales of this particular item as it as been used in both the ads above, and numerous other mashes both for and against, and a large number of parodies.
