Memorial Service for AP's Julia Martin Well over 100 people attended a memorial service at AP's worldwide headquarters in New York for Julia Martin, AP Archive's US-based business development manager who died recently after a short illness aged 36. In addition to her family and friends, the footage industry had a large representation. Her current and former co-workers from ITN and the AP were present, alongside people from other footage companies. A tribute was paid by the Head of AP Archive, Alwyn Lindsey, and others spoke extemporaneously about their memories of Julia. Born in the UK, Julia relocated to New York in 2000 where she played a major role in spearheading ITN's expansion in North America. In July 2007, she joined AP Archive's New York office where she was responsible for building relationships with customers throughout North America. At the March annual meeting of footage trade association ACSIL, Julia was voted in as Treasurer and a member of the Executive.
