Al Giddings & Matthew White Tie Programming Knott
Former National Geographic Digital Media Exec VP Matthew White has a partnership with veteran natural history and underwater cinematographer Al Giddings to develop TV shows, educational films, and digital media videos based on Giddings' film and video archives. An initial deal with New York public television entity WLIW will see the production of four hours of programming -- a two-part TV Special for PBS stations, and two hours of short videos that will be incorporated as bonus materials on a DVD package, and made available to digital media and educational distributors. To facilitate the deal, White's company, Matthew White & Associates, has formed a new company with Al Giddings Images called GW Intertainment. The PBS docu will depict Giddingsﾩￆ career and will be broadcast on US public television stations in June. It will feature his work in movies including The Deep, Titanic, The Abyss, and James Bond films and his work with scientists and others.
