A video from the Chinese city of Chongqing showing an overpass which has the bumpy form more normally seen in water slides.

The 300-metre-long section of road was specifically designed with its distinctive "waves" to allow drivers to exit the overpass at different stages.

Footage has emerged from China of a popular wave-shaped road in Chongqing City giving drivers thrilling experience like riding roller coaster.

The video, filmed on September 7, shows the 300-metre-long road shaped like wave and having a gradient, which equals four-storey high.

Because the commercial building next to the road has four storeys, the road was designed like wave to make it convenient for merchants on each layer to drive to the shop gates directly.
