Drone captures boiling water turning to mist from cocktail shaker
Footage of a man's attempt to show boiling water evaporating into freezing air in Québec, Canada from a drone.
The video, captured at the weekend, shows him launching the drone above his head before quickly pouring the water into a cocktail shaker and spinning it around - before the drone would crash land without control.
The filmer wrote online: "After calibrating the drone, I barely got two minutes of flight before the battery went from 100% to under 20%, initiating an emergency landing (it was somewhere near -27 Celsius).
"I lifted off with the drone and flew straight up to 100 feet or so. I then ran to pour boiling water into a huge martini shaker. I barely got the water in the shaker before I heard the emergency beeping (you can hear it when I'm filling the shaker).
"I span around like a madman (it is a weird feeling to be totally alone and nonetheless realize how ridiculous I must have looked), got as good a shot as humanly and electronically possible given weather conditions, then ran back to pick up the controller.
"I barely made it back to the drone before it would have crash landed in the snow, grabbing it by one of the skids. I powered down the drone, packed up, and ran for warmth."
