Brit wins 2016 European Sand Sculpture Championships
A yearly event held at Zandvoort aan Zee in Holland. This year it was won by British artist and sculptor Baldrick Buckle with his depiction of a large wheel being pushed up a steep slope entitled "The Free Spirit of Amsterdam".
Although the nearby beach is covered in what would seem to be ideal sand, it is in fact unsuitable for the kind of sculptures at the event. Instead "river sand" is brought in specially for the competitors.
