Shocking footage has emerged from the UK of two women, reportedly beggars, appearing to steal a man's phone from outside a London coffee shop only for him to realise what's happened and chase them down to get it back.

The incident happened outside a Starbucks in Holborn at around 2.30pm on September 9.

The filmer, Amerah Bashir, was shooting something else on her mobile phone in the area when she noticed the women "shouting" at two men at a table, so she decided to keep the camera rolling.

She went on to witness the alleged theft as well as one of the men chasing the women down after they walk away.

He later appears to find his phone hidden inside a cone of some kind, which one of the women is holding.
