Awesome footage has emerged of an eight-year-old boy singing and dancing to George Michael's Faith despite only re-learning to walk four weeks ago after undergoing major reconstruction surgery.

Giovanni, from Richland, Pennsylvania, USA, came out of hospital nine weeks ago and his full-body cast was only removed in August.

He suffers from an extremely rare condition called Schwartz-Jampel syndrome which makes his muscles tight and eventually caused his hip to dislocate.

He was told learning to walk again after surgery would take a lot of hard work, physio and rehabilitation, but he walked with the help of a frame as soon as the cast was removed.

This video shows he is making really good progress.

It's been 9 weeks since Giovanni's hip reconstruction surgery and 4 weeks since his body cast was removed. He's doing amazing! He actually created a parody- his own version-of George Michael's Faith to raise awareness for Schwartz-Jampel syndrome. With dwarfism awareness month coming up in October, this is perfect. He also talked daddy into recreating the music video! Look at him go! Not only can he walk, but Giovanni's dancing!!
