(waits, Japanese emissaries delay) MS United States Navy sailors working, sitting around, look to the skies. LS bombs dropped, explosions on ships. LS/HA bombs being dropped on airbase. MS Navy soldiers running smoke in BG. TLS Japanese plane flying low. TLS Japanese plane drops a torpedo, explosion TLS Japanese planes flying low firing. MS Saburo Kurusus & Admiral Nomura show up at Sec of State's office. TLS bombing. MS Naval ships firing artillery. LS some planes shot down. LS destruction, aftermath, sinking ships, fires, burning, smoke wafting. MCU Sec. of State Cordell Hull speaking about Japanese memo, "Here is the memorandum presented to me as you can see it is quite a lengthy document, I read it hurrily discovering that it contains a recycle of montrous accusations against the United States. Charging it among other things w/quote, "scheming for the extension of the war, preparing to attack Germany and Italy, two powers struggling to establish a nw order in europe. And ignoring Japan's sacrifices in the 4 years of the China affair menacing the Empire's existence itself and dispariging its honor and prestige." After reading the note I said to the Japanese emisary I have never seen a document that was more crowded with infamous falsehoods and distortions on a scale so huge I never imagined a government on this planet was capable of uttering them."
